Gentrification is good for Vancouver because in places lots of buildings are ugly. With gentrification those bad houses become good and better. Prices of houses start to rise. Low-income residents start to decrease. Now lots of people are moving to DTES.

No because more houses and apartments are more money to rent or buy now so now more people are leaving and now are Going to hotels and aren't buying anymore houses so now they are rich people moving into them and less people in houses.

Gentrification is good and bad for Vancouver because people at Woodward some are low income people and have to move out because they couldn't pay rent so the rich people bought them out and made there house better and high end. People around the corner are crumbling buildings a crack cocain on top of a heroin problem.its a place where you can sell and live its a better place to live and encouging other bissnesses also save money and get a job at ur local area.

Gentrification is good for downtown eastside because downtown eastside's population is rising(doc C).another reason gentrification is good for downtown east side is because now downtown east side is that they have more businesses(doc C) there is 20% decrease of reported property crimes(doc C). Gentrification is bad because there is more crime

Gentrification is good and bad ! It can affect but it can also be good because an upgrade of a building or place can make it look better . The bab thing is that if you upgrade it , it will affect the people because they will miss the old place . There for that is why I think it is good and bad !❤️

- Michelle Damian "Gentrification is another way of beautifying areas that have buildings that are in need of renovation. When city funds or building owners cannot afford to fix building problems in poorer neighborhoods gentrification becomes important to raise the property values in the area and to make these urban areas look better to visitors and residents. It is unfortunate that these renovation projects displace the lower class, but the process also helps those who are not displaced gain more value from their property."

I think gentrification is good for Vancouver because before Vancouver had a lot of income houses and low income friendly buisnesses and restaurants and after they had social housing less low income housing and closed low income housing. After gentrification all reported crimes started to go down. After gentrification

Gentrification is important because we can have new buildings for people that are trying to rent aye house or buy it it's also good for the city to attract tourists and visitors. It also help for the people trying to sell the property for a good amount of money so I'll say yeah gentrification is important. Its also like another chance for poorer cities to renew themselves

Gentrification would be good, because gentification can help with the businesses.
Its good becuase it can clear out the useless things.
The Downtown Eastside needs to be transformed.
The new and interesting restaurants and stores in the area is a positive development.

I think gentrification a good idea because it turns old buildings into new businesses but the old building had people in there struggling to sell their products then the old business gets replaced by a new and expensive and better looking business that people enjoy more than a old business.

I believe that gentrification is good for Vancouver eastside downtown neighborhood. The Downtown East Side, the "Inner City", has been an area of focus in recent decades. With Gastown having nearly completely transformed through the influx of capital, the edges of the DTES and southern edge of Chinatown have seen great recent developments. Restaurateurs have set up a number of new businesses, gentrifying the area.
